Great to see you on another platform Kev, always love reading your thoughts. Given how important set pieces are to us, and with the addition of Tonali to compliment Trippier as our dead ball specialists, I'd be interested to know if there are any parallels between Milan's use of set piece routines and Newcastle's? Are Milan a side that often used creative 'plays' involving multiple players, as we did in the first half of last season, or mainly rely on Tonali's delivery to simply deliver the ball into the box? I'm looking forward to seeing how Tonali is used and can improve the profligacy of our set piece finishing.

First and foremost, thanks for taking the time to read this. Second, Milan aren't a team that really look to use Set-pieces to the same level as NUFC.

Best way to see this is here - https://twitter.com/Edit_Kev/status/1672622181631643650

NUFC create 0.49xG per-90 from set pieces, Milan 0.06...

Ah, I guess we'll have to wait and see what he can do then. Either way, I'm excited to have another dead ball option in the squad aside from Trippier. I wonder if that is another factor in the recruitment strategy this year given a few of our main targets all seem to share that quality (Maddison, Szoboszalai, Tonali)

Thanks Kev. I enjoy the long form and the depth of analysis. Please keep it coming! Positional flexibility and age both seem to be key to the midfield and forward positions. In Dan, Eddie and team I trust.

Well researched and informative! This has helped satisfy my gluttonous appetite for NUFC news and rumours. Thanks for putting the work in!

Cheers bud, not convinced about the concept or that it's my best work, but I believe in giving things momentum.
